I wake up in a shock when my 7am alarm goes off. I look at my phone, shut off the alarm, check fivethirtyeight.com, and see the bright red banner. Donald Trump elected President.
I throw the phone down on my pillow. I am wide awake and want none of it. I make a Facebook post at 8:24 a.m. about how I am fired up for a fight. I pledge to myself that I will take care of myself more than ever before to keep up my strength for others.
For breakfast, I actually eat breakfast: cereal with almond milk, and coffee.
